There are three knobs on the right side, one for volume, one for treble and one for bass. On the left side is a keypad with play, pause and skip controls, though you may never touch them because you can do that via your phone or tablet, or if that's on the dock you can also use the included wireless remote. It also has built-in FM radio reception (no AM) so you can listen to the radio without any other devices at all. It's not a system for audiophiles, but nothing at this price range will be (around $180). It does offer good, full sound that makes music and vocals easy to hear.
