Just as we were preparing for the decline of the Blackberry, Research in Motion (the folks behind the Blackberry) are planning to unveil a new Black Berry model next week. In an effort to compete with iPhone and Android models, the revamped Blackberry -- the BlackBerry 9800 -- will have a touchscreen interface. Though a lot of seniors who found the Blackberry an attractive option because of their premium keyboard need not worry; the 9800 model is expected to feature a slide out keyboard as well. Having the option to use both a keyboard and a touchscreen is quite a nice feature. If Blackberry plans to regain its dominancy in the smartphone market, then it seems as if this new model, which offers a little something for everyone, might indeed to do the trick. Research in Motion in Expected to official unveil the new model next Tuesday; we are hoping to see a weight, design, and interface that can be described as adequately senior friendly.
