Wireless chargers are a fairly new thing. It's very convenient, you can come home, drop your phone, iPod, etc. on the pad and it charges, no need to plug anything in. The way it works is pretty simple, you have to have a reciever for each device. That receiver is custom-fitted (e.g. order one for an iPhone 4G or a Blackberry Curve 8900), and works like a case or skin for the device. It has a plug that plugs in, and built into the receiver is the hardware that reacts with the charging mat to charge your device. The whole system is smart enough to cut off the charge to each device as it finishes. There's the obvious setup time of putting on the receiver, which should take a couple of seconds, and plugging the mat into an outlet. Other than that, it couldn't be easier. Put it on the table where you drop your keys when you get home and you'll never have trouble finding your phone, and it will be fully charged when you're Receivers are sold separately.
