If you don't want to spend $200 for the latest iPhone, you can buy the previous (3GS) model on AT&T for only $49 with a two-year contract. It can still do most everything the iPhone 4 can do, just cheaper. You still have access to the hundreds of thousands of apps on the Apple App Store and all the music and movies on iTunes, including games, music, movies and more. The $49 iPhone 3GS may be over a year old, which makes it a dinosaur in cell phone age, but it's still fast and outsells other iPhones and Android phones by a long shot. It might be the best deal in the smartphone arena right now.
