For an entry-level DSLR, Sony's Alpha SLT-A33L digital camera has a lot of features pros drool over. It has a translucent (semi-transparent) mirror that you shoot through. It splits the light between the sensor and the viewfinder. The huge advantage here is both in speed (7 frames per second is easy for this camera since the mirror doesn't have to move) and the ability to provide phase-detection autofocus all the time, even when shooting HD video. And speaking of HD video, this camera can shoot either 1080/60i or 1080/30p formats. Shooting video onto an APS-C-sized sensor is beautiful, it provides more selective focus, more detail, and just looks so much better than video shot onto tinier formats. Right now it's also being sold as a kit with a card, bag, blower bulb, battery, filter and cleaning swabs. For more information or to purchase a Sony Alpha SLT-A33L digital SLR, visit Amazon.com.
