Facebook is set to lose one of its biggest features – but don’t panic yet! While the Comment button will be disappearing from your newsfeed very soon, that doesn’t mean you’ll be left silent against a “wall” full of opinions.
Instead, it means that users will simply have to place their cursors over the wall post and hit Enter when they want to comment. Now here’s where the inconvenience may come in: if you notoriously post long comments that need to be broken into paragraphs you will need to hold down SHIFT while pressing Enter to insert a paragraph break.
This Facebook update also comes with an added benefit, however. If you tend to post comments before proof reading them, only to find that there’s a glaring spelling error after it’s published, you can edit the comment by clicking the X that appears to the right of your commentary. Before, clicking the X would delete the comment permanently, which meant you had to retype your entire message – sans the typo.
These new features supposedly debuted this morning, but our Facebook pages are still conforming to the old system. Just like other updates, however, it’s likely that Facebook users are experiencing this upgrade in batches.
