In many ways, Ivy Bean from Bradford, England is your typical internet celebrity: she has mastered the essence of social media to appeal to and communicate with a niche audience base. In her case, with about 55,000 followers, her digital platform of choice happens to be Twitter.

But Bean stands out from the rest of the pack: unlike other well-known Tweeters, this one happens to be 104-years-old. Tweeting under the name Ivybean104, Bean is the oldest Twitter user in the world. Her Tweets have little to do explicitly with her age; rather, she documents charming and memorable daily occurrences from everyday life. Here are a few of our favorites:

-hello everybody its fish and chip day
-im sorry to disappoint every one but i didnt build a snowman i stayed inside and had a cup of tea instead
-i wish i could send a christmas card to you all but i wouldnt be able to afford the stamps

If you are too technophobic or scared to sign up for Twitter, take Bean as an inspiration source. If a 104-year-old can become a Twitter celeb by writing about fish and chips (yum), then you have no excuse not to join the site! (And while you are at it, follow us as well.)
