Navigon: An iPhone App for the Road

GPS systems are nothing new; consider them a reliable way to get from destination A to destination B without getting lost. While we were quite impressed with these GPS systems for your dashboard, the Navigon has piqued our interest as of late. Unlike most GPS-systems, the Navigon isn’t stationary, but rather a portable iPhone app. It doesn’t matter if you are in your car, on a walk, or in a cab: with the Navigon, it’s hard to get lost.

While the Navigon isn’t a new iPhone app, it has just undergone a series of updates and upgrades. The interface is intuitive and easy enough to master; the voice announcements are crisp and clearly. Additionally, the Navigon provides notice of oncoming sign post displays and indicates exits and lane mergers ahead of time. We should also note that the app includes nice bright images with 3D maps and live traffic updates. The complete pack ads up to $100.00. Even though that might seem a bit on the pricey side for an iPhone app, it’s hard to complain about the benefits of this reliable, multi-purpose navigation system. Visit the iTunes Store for additional Navigon-related information.

Navigon seems like a good investment to make. If you have an iPhone, Navigon would be beneficial to have. I know I often get lost when I am in route to a new place, and this would be a wonderful thing to have in hand.
