Apple is predicted to sell a whopping 48 million iPads this year, according to analysts at Sterne Agee. Many of these future sales are linked to prospects of the iPad 3, which is likely due out sometime in late spring or early summer. What’s more, the analyst says his estimate is conservative! To put his prediction in perspective, Apple recently declared it had sold 11.2 million iPads during the fourth quarter of last year. This was a 166 percent jump in sales from a year ago. The gadget giant is estimated to have sold a total of 38 million iPads last year, making the analyst’s prediction not that far of a stretch. What do you think?
