Apple teases it's upcoming "Special Event" in California to journalists with the photo above, with a person using an iPad, touching the date, with the line: "We have something you really have to see. And touch".
Rumors have been flying, and it is right around the anniversary of the release of the iPad 2. Speculation abounds, things like a thicker, heavier case with a longer-life battery, a higher resolution "Retina Display" multitouch screen like the iPhone 4s, Siri, quad-core processors, 4G/LTE. There is also a rumor that it will run $60 more than the iPad 2. Of course, this is all rumor until the official announcement.
The Apple iPad 2 came out a year ago, so the release of the iPad 3 seems likely for the March 7 event. Stay tuned here for more information as it is released.
