An app that to can potentially revolutionize your shopping habits? Yep, that's impressive. The folks at Shopkick have teamed up with major retailers like Best Buy, Macy's, and American Eagle to track and offer promotions to shoppers with the app Shopkick. Think of it like a points-collecting game. You walk into one of the selected retailers, check in, and you get points; you pick up a certain item and scan the barcode and you receive points; try on clothes are a dressing room, scan the barcode, and receive points. Points are not just a way to earn empty bragging rights, as they are redeemable for gift cards as these specific retailers. While this app wasn't made specifically with seniors in mind, there is no reason as to why senior's can't benefit from the app's super savings. We downloaded Shopkick and gave it a try; it's quite the enjoyable experience. Seniors should have no trouble mastering the intuitive interface: select a store from the scroll-down menu, check in, and scan product's accordingly. While this app wasn't made specifically with seniors in mind, there is no reason as to why senior's can't benefit from these savings. We should note that while Shopkick is currently only available for free through the iTunes Store, but it will be accessible to Android users starting this Fall. We will surely keep you posted.
