
We aren't too far off from a new era in television programming; soon or later, standard color television sets are going to seem like anachronistic fossils and 3D television sets are going to be the norm. It's not that there is anything wrong with 3D-less Plasma or High Definition television sets; it's just that visual technology is evolving in a direction that places a premium on 3D innovations.
According to a recent New York Times article, 3-D is going to change the way in which T.V. programs are made as well; even as something as visually straightforward as a sitcom will be presented to us in 3-D. Supposedly, this upcoming revolution is inevitably going to widen the generation gap between aging adult and their younger, savvier,3-D embracing counterparts. The article suggests that while seniors are eventually going to accept this new technology, it is going to happen begrudgingly and slowly.
