Tablets have officially spread like wildfire. According to comScore, one out of every four smartphone owners also uses a tablet. Another interesting statistic comScore noted was the older age of tablet users. These users were 28 percent more likely to be ages 65 and older, and 27 percent less likely to be ages 18 to 24.

The survey also cited that about 50 percent of tablet owners used their devices to watch movies. Only 20 percent of smartphone owners did the same. This is likely due to the larger, crisper screens on tablets like the iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Kindle Fire.
