Podcast: Andrew Carle on Elder Tech Trends
Andrew Carle with gadgets he calls "Nana Technology."
Welcome to the start of the ElderGadget podcast series. ElderGadget’s Michael Goldman starts the series with a conversation with Andrew Carle, an Assistant Professor at George Mason University. Andrew is also an expert on technology development for seniors, and is a consultant for the Nintendo Corp., GTX Corp., and several other companies about how to make their newest gadgets more elder friendly. What that means is that Andrew gets to play with lots of new gadgets while they are still in development, and gives manufacturers feedback on their senior-friendly features. If you want to know about Wii bowling leagues for seniors, the potential of the iPad as a major tool in the lives of average seniors, or what the future might portend in terms of some exciting new technologies, Andrew is the guy to talk to. And so, that’s what ElderGadget did. Click here to enjoy our conversation, and keep watch for more ElderGadget podcasts in the near future.
