What are the Best Browsers for Seniors?

What are the Best Browsers for Seniors?
Surfing the internet isn't just about finding websites that intrigue you, but it is also about using the right browser. By definition, a web browser is a software application that is used to retrieve, present, and relay information on the internet. Internet Explorer is a browser. Google Chrome is a browser. Mozilla FIrefox is a browser. Make sense? All reliable browsers share the following: easily located back and forward buttons, refresh and reload options, and a search bar to input terms into a search engine. And despite these shared commonalities, not all web browsers are made the same. It is safe to say that each has their own unique emphasizes and strengths. ElderGadget is here to provide an overview of the top three browsers and highlight their unique senior friendly appeals. Without further ado, our favorite browsers for seniors: Internet Explorer: Explorer is by the far the most popular browser. Part of this has to do with the fact that it is the default browser that comes with Windows. But that is not the full story. Explorer is shockingly easy to use. The latest version of Internet Explorer includes color-coded tabs for browsing, which is a nice add on for seniors who might find color differentiation a useful feature. For those that worry about online security (and let's be honest, who doesn't) Explorer has some of the best security features around, which is nice to know in case you want to conduct your financial transactions online. Google Chrome: If Internet Explorer is an old faithful, the Google Chrome is the new kid on the block. However, by no means is the interface overwhelming or hard to use. It is a browser for the minimalist. Navigating on Chrome is fast, efficient, and best of all, easy to use. Chrome rarely crashes and when it does, it automatically restores tabs. We also love the fact that the search bar automatically leads to Google (of course) as opposed to a second-rate search engine, which happens to be the norm with other browsers. Mozilla Firefox: Seniors should love the fact that Mozilla Firefox is a very customizable browser, which allows you to move tabs and search boxes around to jell with your own sensibilities. There are also a number of add-on applications. This might confuse or overwhelm some novice senior internet users so if need be, ask for help. We should also note that it rarely slows down your computer because it uses minimal system resources. Did we leave your favorite browser off this list? If you have an additional suggestions, please feel free to send us an email, from your favorite browser of course, to ElderGadget@ElderGadget.com.

"[Internet] Explorer has some of the best security features around [...]"
Internet Explorer is one of the unsafest browser to use! You can have a look at all statistics. So I think it's a big fault to recommend it for secure browsing. For secure browsing DO NOT use Internet Explorer!
