These days we are much more cognizant of the environment. We all know how to separate our paper from our plastic at home, but how do we apply these tried-and-true recycling habits to our workplaces and old electronics? Wired answers this question in its profile on Sims Recycling Solutions, a scraps recycler of old and used electronics, which has 15 locations throughout the U.S. Sims Recycling Solutions disassembles and sorts the electronics before sending them to facilities that can reuse the parts or to hazardous waste facilities if they can’t be reused. To ensure that your old electronics don’t end up in our landfills and dumps contact your local Sims Recycling Solutions chapter or visit theEPA’s website, which lists a number of programs and companies that recycle electronics in your area.
