Traditional canes can offer some support to unsteady seniors, though oftentimes it’s not enough. The problem with traditional canes is they offer little stability when seniors attempt to rise from a sitting position.

Invented by an Arthritis sufferer and refined by an orthopedic Surgeon, the Giddy-Up Stick is a portable sit-to-stand gadget. The stick comes with a hand strap that allows the Giddy-Up Stick to be easily hung from the back of a chair, coat rack or any other easily accessible location. The adjustable hand strap is made out of durable canvas and is attached to the cane through a key ring. The stick’s offset foam grip handle has been designed to provide maximum comfort and support, especially to the wrists and hands, which can become sore from prolonged pressure.

A high contrast red-end cap is sold separately. The pivoting arm can also be pre-adjusted to provide maximum lift assistance to a majority of users. This stick also comes with terrific accessories, including a personal alarm, and a light-emitting diode (LED) light.
