Spotlight Review: ASUS 10.1-Inch Transformer Infinity Android Tablet
Asus' newest tablet, the 10.1-inch Transformer infinity, runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with 32 GB of onboard storage and features a very high definition screen (1920x1200 resolution. For those of you wondering, the iPad's is 2048x1536).
The touch screen has a 178-degree viewing angle, it's crisp and clear. It's covered with Corning Gorilla Glass, so it's very tough and scratch-resistant. It has front- (1.2 megapixel) and rear-facing (8 megapixel) cameras for video chats, photos and videos. It runs Adobe Flash and almost every app on the Android Market.
It runs the latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Performance is blazing fast, with a 1.6 Ghz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.
An optional docking keyboard makes it very netbook-like and also adds 4.5 hours of battery life, up to 14 hours total. Without the keyboard, it's really slim and light, at .33 inches and 1.29 lbs.
