Spotlight Review: Samsung 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab

Samsung's newest Android tablet, the 10.1-inch version of the Galaxy Tab, specs out VERY impressively. First of all, the 10.1-inch, WXGA (1280x800) is very clear, beautiful, and easy to see. It has 30% higher resolution than the iPad 2. It also has a 16:9 (1.77:1 in cinema terms) aspect ratio, so most HD movies will waste little to no screen real-estate with letterboxing. This beast is FAST, with a dual-core Tegra 2 processor and running Android Honeycomb (OS version 3.1). It also runs every flavor of Wi-Fi up to 802.11n. It's big, bright, easy to use, with access to hundreds of thousands of great apps through the Android Market. It will even run versions of Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Browsing the web is great, the window can be large and the graphics (and even Flash content) look great. It has front- and rear-facing cameras, making it great for video chatting and one heckuva large video camera, with a HUGE screen to compose your shots.
