I'm considering the Hoover Tempo Widepath #U5140-900. I have stairs to vacuum. Does it or can it come with a retractable cord? How do you rate this product for seniors.

I bought my aunt the Hoover cordless stick vac platinum series it was $179 but it is light and works very well not to mention you take the battery out(easily removed) to charge so as not to mess around with a cord. Charger can be kept out of the way on a counter where it is accessable

Hi: As a Kirby salesman for almost 10 years. I could not resist telling the truth here. Every vacuum in the world except the Kirby picks up almost NOTHING on deep pile rugs in most peoples homes. Look at the tube on the side of some of these pictured vacuums. That diameter is the only part of the brush that picks up a little of the sand and dirt. Put your finger along your vacuum and where the hole is that is the only spot that picks up a little dirt. All the rest is brushed into your rug by your brush. Yes the Kirby is very heavy for the elderly. Yes it is hard to put the brush head on and off. Yes you cannot carry it up the stairs without help. True. BUT if you care about tremendous filth in your rugs. Dead skin in your bed and sofa, etc. Call you local Kirby guy for a free demo. You will be amazed. I mean amazed.
And steam cleaning don't get me started. The people that are getting robbed with beautiful homes from stores is amazing.
I have been out of the business since 1988, but cannot to this day stand watching people get ripped off.
