It is common for seniors to run into problems when trying to type on a standard keyboard. For those with long fingernails, chubby fingers, or just poor eye-hand coordination, the space between keys on a keyboard is just too darn small: you mean to type a “T” but end up with a “Y” or an “R” instead.

A technology company out of Japan has created a keyboard which aims to solve these pesky typing difficulties by designing a keyboard with extra space between the keys. Make no mistake: this keyboard isn’t for everyone. Those who are fans of the traditional QWERTY layout might find these alterations a bit clunky and necessary. However, if you are looking for some new way to get your typing done, then this development is good news for you. Hopefully it can help you cut down on careless errors.

While the keyboard is currently available in Japan, it still hasn’t made its way to the United States. We will keep you updated on appropriate developments.
